You have career goals, and the Eastern Jackson County Workforce Development Board wants to help you meet them.

EJAC WDB strives to provide the programs and resources that you can really use, such as face-to-face meetings with employers, free workshops that teach valuable skills, and training through FEC Local Missouri Job Centers.

Upgrading your skills is important in today's economy. No matter if you are in a high-tech field or in the service industry, we can help you learn new skills or improve your current skill set to improve your employability and meet your goals!

Looking for a new job or a new career can be stressful. The Eastern Jackson County Workforce Development Board offers programs and services through the Full Employment Council to help you get to work. 

Job Search

Looking for work but don't know where to start? We provide access to computer labs, career counseling, individualized job placement, job search assistance, and targeted hiring events with local employers​.

Training

Are you tired of Job Searching with no results? Let us help.  
If you need the training to assist you in getting a job, you may be eligible to receive skills upgrade training or training for a new career provided by local training institutions. Tuition assistance is available for eligible participants.

Support Services

Sometimes transportation, the cost of gas, or work clothes can be prohibitive to employment. Programs are available for those who qualify that subsidize the income of those enrolled in certain programs.

Whether you are a job seeker looking for a new rewarding career or seeking to enhance your marketable skills, we have the right tools to help you get the job! Whether you need assistance developing your resume or need to brush up on your interviewing skills, the EJAC WDB has a workshop to suit your needs.

Veterans

The Eastern Jackson County Area Workforce Development Board (EJAC WDB) offers the full array of employment services to our Veterans and their spouses with special priority status to those who meet eligibility requirements.
