Mission

EJAC is one of 14 Workforce Regions in the State of Missouri which are led by a Local Workforce Development Boards (WDBs). WDBs are regional entities created to implement the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) in the United States. Local WDBs are business-led, regional organizations whose mission is to provide quality local workforce development programs and services to businesses and job seekers in the region.            Read More...

Chief Local Elected Officials (CLEOs) appoint members of Local WDBs, with a minimum of 51% of a WDB’s membership from local businesses and business organizations. There are also designated seats for representatives from other required partners.            Read More...

The Eastern Jackson County Workforce Development Board provides oversight of employment and training programs in the area including: development of the Local strategic Plan, selection of operators and providers, budget administration,  and negotiation of local performance measures.            Read More...
